Former Barbados Cabinet minister Donville Inniss fate lies in the hands of a 12-member jury which have begun deliberations in his bribery trial.
After more than five hours of summation and arguments this morning, the mixed12-member jury started deliberations around 2pm. Inniss is facing three counts of money laundering in the United States Eastern District Court in New York.
If convicted he faces up to 20 years in a US federal prison and a fine of up to BDS$1 million. A unanimous verdict is necessary to convict Inniss.
