The Barbados Meteorological Office has issued a Flash Flood Warning for central and western sections of the island until 5 pm 22nd November 2019.
A Flash-Flood Warning means that flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time is imminent or already occuring.
Light winds along with strong daytime heating and adequate low level moisture has been producing moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms over some central, western and southwestern sections of the island over the past few hours.
These conditiins are expected to persist into the afternoon and thus a Flash Flood Warning isbin effect for central and western sectiins of the island.
Rainfall accumilatuin os at least 50 to 75mm (2 to 3 inches) are likely in some areas. Residents in flood prone areas shiuld remain on the alert and take all necessary precautions.
