In a press conference held earlier this evening, Minister of Education Santia Bradshaw announced that two help lines 535-0849 and 535-0853 have been setup to assist parents of students, who may need conselling after last fridays fatal stabbing incident. In which a 16 year-old male student of the Fedrick Smith Secondry School lost his life at the hands of a fellow student on the premises of the institution.
She took the time to sympathize with the victims family, students, parents and members of staff and reassured the public that government and law in forcement were working clostly together and doing all in their power to ensure that an incident like this never re-occurs in the history of the island.
It was also revealed that Classes will resume for 5th form students on Thursday 14th November and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th form students would resume on the following day Friday 15th November.
Counselling will be provided at the Fedrick Smith School for as long as needed the Minister assured.
