One dead after early morning collision

An early morning collision has left one dead and two others seeking medical attention.

The accident was reported to have occurred about 4 am on Sunday 22nd December 2019 along Bennetts Ro bead, St. Thomas (Ronald Mapp Highway) about five hundred (500) meters north of Bagatelle Great House.

Involving two motor vehicles with registration numbers S6300 a blue BMW owned and driven by Courtney Browne 49 years of #23 Alleyndale, St. Lucy who was accompanied by his wife Trigia Browne 47 years of the said address. Motor car XA 3379 a blue AE 110 Toyota Corolla owned and driven by Michael Mcclean 37 years of 1st Avenue Rockley Christ Church.

Motor XA3379 was reportedly travelling south along the said road and S6300 was due north when they became involved in a collision. Mcclean died on the scene whilst Mr.Browne suffered a broken right leg whilst Mrs.Browne complained of chest pains and lower abdominal pain. Both were taken away by two ambulances to the QEH for medical attention.

Two fire tenders responded along with eleven (11) personnel. The jaws of life was used to free persons who were trapped in the vehicles.
