Rasta's at ods with marijuana license

The Rastafarian community in Barbados are at ods with a proposal put forward in parliament which states that members of that community would have to seek a license from government to use marijuana for religious purposes.

Just as was put forward before at the Joint select comitte meeting members of the community argued that it is an insult for them to need a licence to use what they say that God has put on earth for mankind.

Attorney General Dale Marshall said members of the Rastafarian community would be allowed to grow their own marijuana sufficient for their use in the precincts of their place of worship but they would be required to seek an exempt permit to use the sacrament at any religious event away from the temple.
